Benguela: road accident causes 12 deaths and 17 serious injuries

Twelve people died and another 17 were seriously injured this Wednesday, in Benguela, victims of a road accident that involved a minibus with 30 passengers, on national road 250, municipality of Bocoio.

According to the spokesman for the provincial command of the National Police in Benguela, Ernesto Tchiwuale, quoted by ANGOP, excessive speed, lack of prudence and technical failure were the basis for the vehicle that was carrying 30 passengers overturning.

Of the 30 passengers that the minibus was carrying, only one was unharmed from the accident.

As for the 17 passengers who were seriously injured, the National Institute of Medical Emergencies of Angola transported them to the general hospital in Benguela.
