The Angolan Bar Association (OAA) was not represented at the investiture of President João Lourenço and the Vice-President of the Republic, Esperança Costa, because the body did not receive an invitation from the Ceremonial of the Presidency of the Republic, the event’s organizer.
To , the chairman of the OAA, Luís Paulo Monteiro, at the end of last night, Thursday, confirmed the information, saying “we have not received invitations nor have we been accredited” for the investiture act of the President and Vice-President of the Republic.
In fact, explained a source linked to the dossier, the OAA even sent a list of its members to the Ceremonial of the Presidency of the Republic, who wanted them to go, yesterday, to attend the inauguration of the highest officials of the Angolan State, but the invitations did not arrive.

In addition to the non-representation of the OAA in the investiture, which was marked as the largest military parade held in Angola, the NJ noted the absence of the former Vice-President of the Republic, Manuel Vicente, as well as the former heads of the Military House and the Service of Communication of the Governments formed by the late President José Eduardo dos Santos.
