For three days, the prepaid system of the National Energy Distribution Company (ENDE), in Automatic Payment Terminals (ATM), commonly known as multicaixas, and on the internet, has not worked. The situation is creating great embarrassment for citizens, but the public company has so far not commented on the matter. Meanwhile, in several service agencies in Luanda the system has also failed, which this Tuesday, 5th, caused flooding at the central counters of ENDE, in the São Paulo neighbourhood.

Citizens say that the failure in the payment system started on Sunday, 03, and became more evident this Monday.
In several ENDE agencies, as found out in the Nova Vida, Cazenga, Rangel, Golf I and II neighborhoods, the failure of the payment system has also been observed since Sunday.
Until yesterday, Monday, prepaid customers who wanted to charge electricity were not able to, which led many citizens to file complaints with the central management of ENDE in Luanda.
“We came to charge the energy at the headquarters because there is a system failure in the branches and in the ATMs”, said several citizens.
Mauro Mendes, Paulo Afonso and Luís Bernardo, young people with whom he spoke at the central agency of ENDE, in São Paulo, have been without energy since Sunday because they were unable to make the payment at the ATMs.
The three young people regret the fact that the ENDE so far has not resolved or explained to the citizens what is really going on.
Meanwhile, ENDE employees admit the existence of malfunctions in the system and do not understand why the management does not communicate.
I learned from a reliable source that the failure verified in the prepaid system of the National Energy Distribution Company is throughout the country.
On the matter, he tried unsuccessfully to hear clarifications from the ENDE’s directorate-general.
